IMU 2015
So, it's almost IMU time again and this time they haven't fiddled too much with the system (except for agricoltural land, but that's another topic!).
You need to pay the 1st instalment by 16th June 2015 at the 2014 rates declared by your comune. The second instalment will be paid (and adjusted where necessary) at the new 2015 rate assuming your comune has declared this by 28/10/2015. If they don't then you pay at the 2014 for the second instalment too and that is the end of it.
IMU on agricultural land has been much messed about with but the final solution is that you do not need to pay if your comune is considered in a mountain zone according to ISTAT ( see latest list here) or on one of the 'minor' islands. If it is considered partially mountainous and you are a Coltivatore Diretto or IAP or it is in a disadvantaged area you will get a €200 discount on the amount due. Everyone else must pay IMU on their land.
I genuinely think that is the least I have ever written on the subject!!!

I'll let you know my story shortly after I lock horns with the comune!

Re: IMU 2015
Most comunes have decided the aliquote for 2015 for both TASI, IMU and IMU on land. Comunes seem finally to have decided that putting information on a website is a' good thing' - so you can find out your aliquote not only for your house, but your garden shed and ruined hen house.
Re: IMU 2015
We are AIRE registered and retired, and they have changed the rules about first house again re IMU.The comune are being as helpful as ever, so I guess it will be fun again (not)

Re: IMU 2015
Hi, Lancashire Lass. You're quite correct but it is in your favour. If you are registered in AIRE and retired then you don't need to pay IMU on one property (if you have 2 or more then you must pay for them) and TARI and TASI are reduced by two thirds so long as the property is not rented out or given in 'comodato d’uso'.

Re: IMU 2015
The problem is that we don't own all our property, we gave 50% of it to our son when we bought it to reduce our inheritance tax, that's why i think we are going to have fun!

Re: IMU 2015
Whether AIRE residents pay IMU or not is down to each comune which can decide yea or nay. You must pay TASI though, whatever.
Re: IMU 2015
There is a new law Modi from 1st Jan 2015 that exempts pensioners registered in AIRE from paying IMU on one property assuming the property is not rented or given to another to use and they also get two thirds off TASI and TARI.

Re: IMU 2015
Well well well! Went to see the miserable Mauro (aka 'Smiler' ) at the comune this morning. After a lot a scowling and clucking he eventually produced IMU 2015 part 1 (part 2 due in December).ghiro wrote:I'll let you know my story shortly after I lock horns with the comune!
It now comes under 2 headings. Heading one (3918) is roughly the same as last year (€4 cheaper now). But there is a new line (3961) for €101. What this is for I have no idea! So the overall bill is €97 more this year.
Popped next door to the bank where remarkably there was only one person in the queue, paid the IMU and repaired to a nearby bar to celebrate another Italian hurdle successfully overcome!

Re: IMU 2015
Odd I thought in the end nothing had changed for land, or did the rate of tax go up?

Re: IMU 2015
It has all changed for land in that the exemptions have changed.

Re: IMU 2015
Perhaps some need to know what has changed on land tax, we don't if the exceptions are the same as we were always classed as mountainous for some reason.
Looking at the documents our comune has just produced these are the codes above:-
3918 = IMU – IMPOSTA MUNICIPALE PROPRIA PER ALTRI FABBRICATI
3961 = TASI su altri immobili
Not that I have a clue what they are.... But Ghiro it looks like you are paying IMU and TASI on something or other....

Re: IMU 2015
If you look in my original post you'll see that I posted the exemptions for land. I've just added a link to the spreadsheet (zipped) which says whether your comune is mountainous or partially mountainous or not at all. Hope it helps.

Re: IMU 2015
the altri immobili' is for non prime case. Some comunes charge the maximum on IMU for non prime case, so they charge no or little TASI, whilst those with prima casa paythe whole whack of TASI. As the maximum allowed by law is 10.6 or (1.06%) a comune may - for example charge 9.6 for Imu on 2e case, and TASI at 1 for 2e case and 2 for prime case which are exempt from IMU. Its a laugh innit?

As I said Admin, for us nothing has changed and all is as was, our comune is on as "mountain total"

IMU 2015
Talk about confusion. Wife is resident, Licciana Nardi, 50% ownership. Calculating combined IMU/TASI results in tax obligation €80.+. Calculating IMU and TASI independently results in tax obligation €2.00. Would rather not invite penalties, however, obviously not anxious to overpay taxes. Thanks for any guidance.

Re: IMU 2015
Off the top of my head, and it is late... Your wife is resident, so would not pay IMU on the house? Hence you would only use the TASI calculator for her, with of course only 50% ownership. You would pay both TASI and IMU, so use the combined calculator. Not too sure how you could compare them if one is resident and other not?casa del campanile wrote:Talk about confusion. Re: IMU 2015
Steve is right. If you use a combines TASiIMU calculator online once you put in prima casa it will delete your IMU column automatically.
