Television
First topic message reminder :
We pay €50 per month, €600 per year for Sky TV at our house in Bagni Di Lucca. We visit for approximately 12 weeks per year, so approximately 3 months. Does anyone know if Sky Italia are prepared to switch on/off a customers Sky subscription so that a customer only pays for a what they want to use? Are there any other TV packages which would allow us to only pay for the time we are actually in Italy? Seems mad to overpay. If we could pay say €200 for our use that would free up €400 to enjoy eating out! P.S. We don't take the sports package.

Ha! I'm laughing because we have had little or no trouble for months with our internet, then friends came back that live about 500M away and ... yes you've guessed, trouble almost every day with it at some point (fortunately on a few minutes at a time). Also, I noted a couple of days ago two guys were cutting trees near each other with chainsaws and a number of times they both started up our internet went down while they were running... I would have a look at the reasons for wifi (I think I posted the link?) being naff , in particular other people using equipment such as mobiles near by and if neighbours wifi shows on your list, perhaps a change of channel would be worth a go....

Re: Television
Has anyone noticed that Filmon has ceased to be free? Is there an alternative site where we can watch live UK TV free?

Re: Television
Wow! No I hadn't. We started paying for it last month as the ads were doing our head in.

Re: Television
Thanks for that link Flip. There is also one called Tvcatchup, but is pretty limited in channels.
I did try to delete the timer mode on filmon, but that did not work, but sure there will be a fix soon!!!

Re: Television
Hi V..
Your link is good.
There was a problem with the Crickfree site some time ago, as it would not allow full screen viewing, but deleting a node in the inspect element area allowed you to view as normal. Tried some on Filmon, but there are still some nodes that put you back to the ad to pay.
I also use watch series online for free, which is very good. Most are just one day old so great to follow each week.

Re: Television
If you watch series Geo, this is the one for you.

Thanks all. I'm very grateful for the advice and I'll give the various sites a try this evening.
