Would you be happy to see advertising on this forum?
Future direction of the forum
So, now that things have calmed down a little on the home front for me, I thought I would revisit the forum and publicising it.
There is stuff I can do for free and some of it I have done already but to have facilities like a gallery, maybe our own domain name and decent publicity requires some cash to be spent. As you probably all know I don't get anything from the forum and I'm not really looking for it to generate an income as such but if we are to achieve the thing I have mentioned it will need to fund itself.
The big question is, are you prepared to accept adverts in order to achieve that? I usually get a pretty weedy response to polls but this is a big one. Please vote!! Comments are of course welcome and I have opened the poll to guests too as I am interested in their opinion.

Also if you use Firefox or Chrome you can get AdOns and plugins that will stop or hide ads being shown on your Browser.

Re: Future direction of the forum
I'm an avid devotee of ad-blockers, so it wouldn't affect my view of the forum barring one or two void spaces here and there, so if you think we'll be better off, then I say go for it!

I agree with what has been expressed. If you can get better facilities that way, I am in favour.

Re: Future direction of the forum
I think it would be helpful to hear from the 3 people (so far) who voted 'No' or 'No Way' as to why they made that decision. Do we know whether they're members or guests?

Re: Future direction of the forum
The poll is skewed - I was able to cast three votes all at one time by ticking three boxes and all three registered.

Re: Future direction of the forum
Even taking into account a 'certain person' trying to b****r up the poll, 25% of the votes are against having advertising on the forum - and 6 say they'll leave immediately.
Any idea of what you'll do next Penny?
