Smoke Signals

What a pleasure it is to be allowed to have a bonfire again. All the rubbish that accumulated over the summer months has gone up in a satisfying pall of smoke!

Why are you restricted to only having them in Autumn?

Verboten in July & August because of the danger of forest fires (and they have helicopters aloft checking for plumes of smoke).

Gosh, I didn't realise that it was 'illegal', I fully understand why though, and I am looking forward to becoming a fire starter myself in the next few weeks. Amazing how much I find to burn !

I would guess that there are 'local' laws depending on circumstances Vicino.

I would agree with ghiro. The Comune will be the one issuing orders depending on weather conditions and fire danger levels.
