Pet passports after Brexit
Pet passports - of interest to a lot of us.
After Brexit UK residents will be subject to 3rd party country rules for bringing pets into the EU. If the UK is put on the EU's 'safe' country list this will mean a new 3rd party pet passport confirming rabies vaccination and a health certificate issued by a registered vet for each movement (only valid for 4 months).
If the UK does not appear on the list then UK residents will need the 3rd party pet passport and a blood test to confirm rabies immunisation taken at least 3 months prior to travel to accompany the health certificate.
EU residents visiting the UK with their pets and returning back to the EU will need an EU pet passport showing rabies vaccination if the UK is a listed country. If it is not, then the EU pet passport plus a blood test will be required to check rabies anti-bodies and must be done either in the EU prior to travel or no less than 3 months prior to travelling to the EU.
In all cases the blood test must be done at least 30 days after vaccination.

Re: Pet passports after Brexit
I remember hearing the result of the referendum and I was staggered. I am even more staggered now after what is going on in UK politics. Who (WHO ??) can do anything different (or better) from hereon with this poisoned chalice ??
